“Let’s be candid, it was a pretty sweeping victory [for the Democrats]. They fired us with cause.” Those were the words of Governor Bobby Jindal on Wednesday at a two-day Republican Governors Association meeting in Miami.
He went on to say that, “we have to apply our conservative principles to the challenges that are confronting the American people, whether it’s the rising cost of health care, whether it’s the economy, whether it’s international challenges.”
Those are soothing words to this conservative. Let me also be candid: I had to hold my nose to vote for the McCain-Palin ticket. I really hope that I won’t have to do the same thing four years from now. Jindal is being touted as the next Reagan and even as the Republican Obama. I know little about the man. That’s why I’m starting this blog. I’m going to examine him and the other 2012 candidates over the next four years to determine whether or not their deeds match their rhetoric.
