This is interesting.
Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, the younger brother of President George W. Bush, is considering running in 2010 for the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by fellow Republican Mel Martinez, an aide said on Wednesday.
Jeb Bush, 55, served two terms as governor from 1999 to 2007 and was consistently more popular in Florida than his brother.
Bush also presided over the state during the Terri Schiavo, and during what turned out to be one of our nation’s most spectacular real estate bubbles. I don’t necessarily fault his performance in either case, but I certainly won’t be the only bringing them up.
